Choose a route before the final rendezvous
Backseat has four main paths at the final rendezvous: police, hacker, criminal network and BK26. Several require preparation earlier in the night. The table uses the Steam achievement names so you can match each route to your achievement list; failed handoffs are listed separately below.
Four routes and their prerequisites

Prepare for the final handoff
- Keep the sealed envelope until its intended recipient appears if you want the criminal-network route. Delivering it is the Courier condition and is required for New Management.
- For the hacker route, accept and install CAR_SYS v2 before the final rendezvous.
- For The Witness, open a line to the police and earn their trust before choosing their final route. Choosing the police before earning enough trust triggers Caught in the Act.
- Giving the archive to your wife at the final handoff triggers Prepared for You. It is a different outcome from leaving the archive with BK26 for The Empty House.
Protecting the undercover officer with a false report and reaching an ending earns Cover Story; exposing the officer to BK26 and reaching an ending earns Full Disclosure. These are separate achievement conditions. For the police route, satisfy The Witness requirements in the table before the handoff.
